The hill where the company is located is made of Eocene marlstone, like the whole southern part of the Colli Orientali del Friuli and Collio. Colli Orientali del Friuli is the DOC area.

Planting new vineyards is like working on a stone quarry: this will become a soil rich in minerals where crumbling is due to atmospheric agents.

Thanks to the rock side of the hill, groundwater lowering is not too much, and therefore the drought is almost imperceptible. The nights are always pleasantly cool and breezy, promoting those aromas that anticipate flavours benefiting from salts and trace elements in the soil.

We use a dozen goats that graze the brambles that overlook the edge of the woods surrounding the base of the hill: this allows the lower vineyards to have an optimal air circulation with consequent greater health.

The bees, on the other hand, help pollination with their mechanical action, normally anemophilous, thus ensuring a perfect flowering and giving us a few jars of good honey.
