Bianco Pomédes DOC FCO
A blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Friulano and 10% Riesling Renano, from the best selections of the year. Fermented in 50% new wooden barriques and tonneaux, they frequently undergo manual “batonage” for 7 months, then the wine is assembled and aged in steel tanks for another year. | POSITION AND VINEYARDS | Marlyn hilly soil: selections from among the best grapes harvested just after normal ripening, more so for the Riesling. Grapes are selected exclusively form mature vines. | 
| HARVEST | By hand, after min September; 55 quintals per hectare. | 
| VINIFICATION | Whole grapes gently pressed; the must is then decanted at low temperature and left to ferment in French oak barriques and tonneau, half new and half used. Ageing lasts 8 months with frequent batonage; assemblage lasts 10 months in steel tanks and contact with the noble lees is assured. Finally the wine is refined in the bottle for 3 months. |
